The 8th annual American Heroes Air Show and Code 3 Fair, Seattle’s premiere free helicopter event and public service recruitment fair, will touch down from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sat., July 14 at the Museum of Flight (9404 E Marginal Way S.) at Boeing Field.
Free and open to the public, this all-ages event welcomes Joint Base Lewis McChord’s new Apache attack helicopter and more than 20 additional public and private helicopters and their crews for a static display, hands-on experience. Guests attending the show are welcome to get up close and personal with aircraft and crew, learning about the aircraft and the people who serve and protect our region and country.
Helicopters are scheduled to arrive from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Drug Enforcement Agency, KING TV, Airlift Northwest, Snohomish County Sherriff, Classic Helicopter Corp., and more.
For those that want a little more of the action, helicopter rides will be offered throughout the show courtesy of Classic Helicopter Corp., for $50 per person.
In addition to the helicopters, the Code 3 public service recruitment fair will feature local and national recruitment teams with information about careers in fire service, public safety and law enforcement. Public education agencies, educational institutions and search and rescue organizations will also participate. The fair will include fire trucks, police cars and other tools of the trade for demonstrations and more hands-on experiences.
New this year, the American Heroes Air Show and the Museum of Flight are proud to host a special U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service Naturalization Ceremony at 1 p.m. More than a dozen military, former military, aviators and public service professionals will receive their United States Citizenship at the show in a moving ceremony. The ceremony is also free and open to the public in the Museum’s theater.
Those wishing to watch the aircraft arrive for the event are welcome to arrive early. Aircraft begin arriving at 7:00 a.m. Show sponsor Breakwater Insurance will provide free refreshments to early guests who come to watch the excitement. Gates to the show open at 10:00 a.m.
