Helicopter Safety Steering Group Meets to Discuss North Sea Ditching Incident

logo_oil_and_gasThe Helicopter Safety Steering Group (HSSG) met today, Monday 14 May, to share preliminary information on the recent helicopter ditching incident in the North Sea.

Making up the HSSG are helicopter operators, oil and gas operators and contractors, offshore trade unions, the pilots’ union BALPA, the regulators HSE and CAA and Oil & Gas UK.

logo_bondBond Offshore Helicopters Ltd will continue the suspension of all EC225 helicopter flights while it undertakes a detailed root cause investigation. That investigation will proceed over the weekend in cooperation with Eurocopter experts that are now on site.

Helicopter Pilots at Bristow LLC Ratify Agreement
