First AgustaWestland AW189 full-flight simulator set to enter service in 2013 with Rotorsim

logo_rotorsimRotorsim, a consortium owned equally by CAE and AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, announced at the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Heli-Expo conference that it will operate the world’s first AgustaWestland AW189 full-flight simulator (FFS). The CAE 3000 Series simulator will be installed at AgustaWestland’s “A. Marchetti” Training Academy in Sesto Calende, Italy and will be available for training from the third quarter 2013.

ag_8AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce it has signed a Collaboration Agreement with Priority 1 Air Rescue for the delivery of helicopter rear crew training courses to AgustaWestland customers. The agreement was signed today at Heli Expo 2012 in Dallas by John Ponsonby, Senior VP Training, AgustaWestland and Brad Matheson, President of Priority 1 Air Rescue.

ag_3AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, has commenced construction work on a new simulator hall at its “A. Marchetti” Training Academy located in Sesto Calende, Italy. The new simulator hall will be able to house up to nine full-flight simulators (FFSs) and six flight training devices (FTDs).
