We have launched a series of dates during March to come and meet the team, and find out more about the Professional Helicopter Pilot Scholarships.
The aim of the open days will be to offer information and advice on the scholarship programmes, as well as the training requirements for the PPL(H), CPL(H), and FI(H), ways to obtain funding, and career opportunities. You will be able to see a short presentation and enjoy some light refreshments and snacks.
There will also be a chance to talk to our friendly instructors on a one-to-one basis, take a tour of the facilities and get to sit in and compare training helicopters. The open days are free of charge to attend and we hope you will find them useful and informative.
Due to the overwhelming number of registrations of interest, we will be holding four open days in total, two for ab-initio candidates (those with no previous flying experience who wish to learn from scratch), one for existing private helicopter pilot licence holders, and one for those who have already started training for the PPL(H). This will allow attendees to benefit from the most relevant information to the level of training they have reached.
You will need to allow two hours for the whole event, which will run sometime between 10:00 and 17:00. This is an invitation only event and you need to register your interest for the scholarship in order to receive a link to the registration form. Once you have this, simply RSVP using the link in the e-mail and we will contact you to advise you of your allocated time. The dates are as follows:
Friday 23rd March 2012 - Ab-initio Open Day
Saturday 24th March 2012 - Ab-initio Open Day
Sunday 25th March 2012 - Student Helicopter Pilot Open Day
Saturday 31st March 2012 - PPL(H) / CPL(H) Holders Open Day
If you have registered your interest for the scholarships, but you have not yet received an invitation to one of the above events, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 0116 259 0186. Don't forget there is still over a year to complete your training and be eligible to apply for the helicopter scholarships and get your career off to a flying start.
